Havent been able to find anything concrete for a few of them, however, I switched to Ryco as it is easy to local source (and I get a great price) and no issues at all, even analysis confirms all is normal.

I use Ryco over the other aftermarket brands because of the guarantee to repair any damage thats proven to be caused by use of their filters . Thats good enough for me. No other brands have this voluntary guarantee.

On my TDV6 D3 I stick with the LR recommended filters which IIRC are Delphi, as I found on the D2 TD5 the Coopers seemed to contain some sort of plastic that wasn't compatible with biodiesel.

Genuine oil filter is a Mann and you'll pay around $28
    REPCO sell RYCO or Mann.
I buy Mann from REPCO at "trade" price for around $14.00 plus gst.
    RYCO are also very good.

Neither does the factory guarantee, they are the only aftermarket filter manufacturer that back their own product. Sure a Ryco Z599 filter is $50 and the SupereCheap Auto branded Z599 is $25 , Still cheaper than genuine. I'm happy to pay extra for the Ryco.

(Z599 is a 5 micron spin on fuel filter with water trap, other "equivalent fit filter" are up to 20 micron)

It seems a Z599 fuel suits a Landcruiser and looks nothing like a D3/4 fuel filter..........and is not a spin on. Did you mean to say another part number?

Z599 is infact a LandCruiser filter , which is what I use on my Iveco in place of the ridiculous OE plastic filter. But relates to filters in general.

Ryco part number for a Euro4 D3 is Z1116 but not a stocked item only special order. Also comes up as suitable for D4.
