    dual battery installation- D1

I have a pirahna dual battery setup that i removed from my old rangie and is going into the disco, is there a pickup point in the negine bay for the ignition feed to the controller ? Or will i have to fart around under the dash for a connection ?

Zarcary like you, loanrangie. Removed from RR, into 98 Disco 1 Tdi auto.

I used the injection pump solenoid lead and spliced in the controller for the Piranha setup there. It has 12V on it when the ignition switch is on or crank and 0V when the ignition is off.

Works good. Mounted the controller box on the vertical part of the inner guard in front of the brake booster.

Thanks, i thought that looked like a good mounting point also and the cables are setup for the same location when it was in the rangie.

    Regards,
    Nick.

Can be done but maybe efficiency will drop ( sucking in hot air from engine bay rather then colder air from ouyside ??)
