Interesting to see the difference in wire diameter even though my l320 is the d4 era. maybe due to the extra distance...

I'd say "nothing surprises me anymore on these cars", but I recall when we got our boat I spent hours tracing a cable through the harness to find it went into the hole in the bulkhead one colour and came out the other side a different colour. So it's not just Landrovers.
