Enabling permanent power at rear cigarette plug for fridge - D3/D4/RRS

Quick mod to bypass the relay for the center & rear sockets, normally controlled/switched by the central junction box, (behind the glove box).

This way you always have power in your boot for a fridge, but you must rely on your fridge low voltage cutout, which on mine is 11.1v at the highest level.

Would only recommend this if you have a AGM deep cycle battery as start battery which is factory with d3/d4/rrs, this battery would run my little fridge for a day or 2 with no charge, but i only need it to keep running while we are in the shops... and we turn the fridge on/off when not using it to transport food home or travelling.

Relay is R1, with a 15 amp fuse after it, so you need to be careful plugging the link in that you dont touch it against any other contacts. You are bridging pins 3 and 5.

I did that on the other relay to enable the drivers side lighter socket full time.

If you bridge it using one of Drivesafes LVC units you can protect your battery too!

Usually Tim uses ratings in name. In this case I’m assuming 25a

To avoid risking over discharge your cranking battery, make sure your fridge cuts out at NO LESS than 12.0v

Most fridges have a factory setting around 10.5v to 11.0v and this is way too low for a cranking battery to be able to start your motor.
