If you miss the V8, why not just get a V8 road car? The Tdi Disco will do everything you need offroad and on trips, the V8 would be for fun...
Im thinking of getting another Disco but a V8 on Gas...Am I mad for having two Disco's?? One a TDi300 and a V8 on gas?
I know the 3.9L use's a heap of fuel about 15-18L P/100km....I guess if its on the gas it will still use heaps of gas but will work out a little cheaper .
I just miss my V8....I had a VR commodore gen SS for years.
Any thoughts ?

Im talking to him re a trade....so I guess I will see what happens. He is asking $12,000 with Vic RWC
, I paid $13k for the io about 4 months ago....its just a tad small for us but really is a super little 4wd...yes 4wd not a pretend offroader unlike the Rav4 or Honda CRV...its got the same trasfer case set up as the big Pajero's...its called superselect.
Yep did that for a while with a VT Calais...but my wife works at a mining site and needs a 4wd....the io does this very well....I just think Im thinking with my heart not my brain...Originally Posted by BigJon

Why not? Works for me. I'd look to having the V8 for playing off road and less mileage than the Tdi, even on gas. Should get about 20L/100km out of the gas.
