    did you have all the doors closed when you were trying to adjust the seat......?
    i think the door switch has something to do with it....

    I can verify that!
    Im having elec seat problems as well. The drivers seat will only operate when the door is open, depressing the courtesy light switch on the door frame (simulating closed door) renders the switches inoperable.

    The passenger seat doesnt work at all but I suspect dirty contacts as it was an intermittent thing.

    Other electrical gremlins are dash radio switches, volume changes stations etc etc. Turn indicators also come and go as they please. 96 Disco TDI
