    Zenith 175CD Rebuild

    Can anyone tell me how much it would cost to get my Zenith 175s rebuilt and balanced?

    I'd like to know aswell, the rebuild kits are cheap but I hate pulling apart carbs,

    I did them on my County not long before I sold it. Dead simple job and I didn't even need to rebalance them!

    I had to make a special spanner (can put pic here if needed) - I copied the spanner borrowed from KLR Automotive.

    A full rebuild with new throttle butterfly shafts and bushes would be a lot more expensive and trickier.

    Really? Maybe I should have a crack at it... whats a kit worth?

    Could we see this spanner you speak of?

    I hope it isnt the LR special tool I could have bought at the expo if I wasnt such a tightwad...

    12 months ago I paid $35.00/kit, if you need a new jet for each (like I did) they are @ $45.00 ea.

    Don't buy cheap parts for these carbies it will end in tears.
    The best guys I have found on these things are http://www.sumidel.com/
    they have supplied quality parts when even Rover didn't want to know.

    It's a cut down and bent spanner. I'll take pics tomorrow. You need it to remove one of the nuts which hold one of the carbs to the manifold.
