On a regular inspection today I found there was a water leak on the bottom of the throttle chamber.
On removal I find there is a small 'water jacket' for the want of a better word that is connected to the cooling water circuit.
There is a cover held on with three small bolts (7/32" ??) and inside a small metal gasket.
According to LR main agent you can't buy the gasket on it's own and you have to buy the cover (held on with the three small bolts) - no drama as it's only $70.00 - but can't get it till Monday PM.
So for the mean time I have bypassed the water jacket -
Can anyone tell me if there are going to be any adverse affect on running until I can get the new part.
I need to go to Melbourne Sunday so I'll be doing about 600 k round trip.
Any advise would be greatly appreciated

Thanks mate, apart from raising the incoming air by a few degrees I could see what real use it would be - given all the electronics etc.,Originally Posted by tombraider
