Just finished putting it all back together, dam that intercooler
is jammed in there!!! Had to cut off the end of bonnet catch
so it could shut. The two bracers that bolt to the bonnet
catch are hard on the cooler tight as hell.
Is there anything I should/could do to adjust the thing or
is that the way it goes?
Dont really want anything else rubbing through plus it turned
into a bugger of a job, need hands the size of a 5yr old & the
patience!!! I'll see how it runs tomorrow.

    cheers Jeff

Jeff, Did I forget to Email the Pics / Hints Damn.....

    What years yours again?

By the sound of 2 braces across the front theres some little tricks.
I apologise, they need to be done to some not all vehicles due to tolerances.

Bottom of those braces - Remove and blt in FRONT of bracket at bottom using a washer or 2 to space it forward (usually mounts behind chassis tab)

At the top of these braces the brace curves to meet the bonnet latch and has a longer slot.
Take a 'dremel' or round file and turn this slot into a "T" shape using the marks from the bonnet latch bolt as a guide.

Underneath the bonnet latch area of the "cross plate" is a small alloy piece that must be removed to then allow the braces to be mounted further forward.

Intercooler sitting in place waiting for bracket (drivers side)

Red areas need to be removed to allow spacing of intercooler from cross braces

Clearancing of passenger side bracket to clear intercooler.

My apologies for not emailing this to you.

    Kind regards
    Mike (Tombraider)

Thanks tombraider Its a 2000 mod.
I did the passenger side bracket mod only cause I couldnt
get it on any way I tried. I'll space those brackets out on the
weekend I thought there must be a way to losen it up as it is
tight as. Muffler off next then thats it, mods are done!!
    cheers Jeff
