That is what I'm trying to find, genuine parts. I just have to save up. I can find cheap on ebay but not risking cheap parts. Only want to have to do this one time Td5 timing chain advice
I just miss my car and not knowing how many weeks I'll be without being able to use it is not fun

But a new genuine guide kit with tensioner (if kits exist) would be the go.

You are correct, they aren't cheap.

    Ebay item number: 275702627187

I'd be pretty hesitant to pay that!

I have the goodies on the way finally. I tried to see if local landie mechanic could do the work for me but he's booked till end of Jan, I cannot go without my car for that amount of time. I also not comfortable my usual place at the moment with how it came back with broken hand controls , broken wind deflector and few little things like thebrake bleed nipples dustcovers notput backon(I love them dearly but didn't expect those things to happen)
So very anxiously going to do it at home with helpTd5 timing chain adviceTd5 timing chain advice
I found my RAVE cd to hopefully at least know how to lock timing and not screw the engine up Td5 timing chain advice

Your number plate really is appropriate, isn't it? You will be fine, L. Take pics, ask questions, keep smiling. Lots of luck.

Goodies have arrived. Still waiting for timing pins to come.
Found my RAVE cd so hopefully a procedure to follow of at least not stuffing the timing up Td5 timing chain advice

Didn't we have a cam timing conversation years ago?

If you feel you might "stuff it up", have a break and come back, if you are still stuck, send me a P.M.

I'm not sure what rave says, but if I was doing the job, I'd be pulling the sump, checking the oil pump bolt and the allen key oil pressure regulator for tightness.
