Got a lot done this weekend!! Engine is back together and sealed!
Hopefully sealed well and no oil leaks when oil goes back in.
Waiting for harmonic balancer, so no more can be done until that arrives. It's due to be posted today so Td5 timing chain adviceTd5 timing chain adviceTd5 timing chain advice Then radiator, intercooler etc can go back in.
I do want to replace trans cooler and condenser and now would be easier but I just need my car on the road asap so can do them another time or get somewhere to do them for me. See how it goes. Spreading $$$ out too.
Next few days as i can (its hot this week so I have to be careful as I get sick very fast in the heat) I'll be cleaning a lot of areas up ready for parts to go back in. 23 years of build up under some stuff hahaha.
Washer bottle too but I've not worked out how that comes out yet Td5 timing chain advice not really looked close to be fair.
Happy the old girl is back on 4 wheels and off the axle stands. And that motor is back together Td5 timing chain advice
Home stretch now!! Td5 timing chain adviceTd5 timing chain advice

Well done Epic, make sure you torque the balancer up to the specified value, or it WILL fall off. It has to be tightened to 340ft/lb, which is in heavy truck torque wrench territory.
Don't ask how I know all this.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Contact Kennards Hire or Coates Hire - they may have 3/4 and 1 inch torque wrenches.
