10AS alarm immobiliser wiring
Hoping someone has investigated this in the past. the 10AS immobiliser was used in the TD5 and Puma Defers up to 2014 ish and used in the D2 and P38 RR (probably the D1 too). I assume the 10AS output signal will be common across all 10AS application. I'm doing an LS conversion into a Puma and want to keep the passive immobiliser feature. Hoping to get an answer without the need to pull the dash for an invesgative exercise at the 10AS unit.
The Puma wiring schematic states that the 10AS sends a signal to the instrument cluster, the signal passes through the cluster to the ECU (not on canbus). ECU uses that signal to isolate the ground on the starter relay coil. The +ve on the starter relay coil comes from the ignition barrel. There are no other connections from the immobiliser or ECU that is shown on the schematic when it comes to the immobiliser features, thus assume the only thing the ECU controls is the ground to the starter relay. Either way, the Puma ECU is not being used and i'm investigating a way to set up a passive immobiliser without the ECU in the system. So what i want to know:
1) is the signal from the 10AS that passes through the cluster to the ECU is a ground or +ve signal.
2) if +ve, what voltage
3) is the ground or +ve provided when the immobiliser is active or inactive.
Thanks in advance
