(Please, admin, feel free ro remove or place this under any other sub-forum, but as it is good news for Series, Defender, Disco 1-2 and Range Classic owner, because it will benefit their maintenance, I thought this would be the place).

British Army to extend life of Land Rover Defenders!!

This is excellent news for all Land Rover Defender and Series owners, and for several compelling reasons:

1. The fact that the British Ministry of Defence has decided to preserve these vehicles not only gives them prestige, but also ensures the continuity of parts supply chains. And, as everyone knows, many parts are also compatible with Series.

2. From an environmental perspective, it is also excellent news. Many of us hold that extending the life of a machine optimises resources and ultimately conserves them. We do not share the idea that scrapping perfectly functional vehicles to make new ones benefits the environment; rather, it serves those who, under the guise of ecological concern, seek personal gain through commissions or bonuses.

3. Finally, it is a boon for the United Kingdom, as a vehicle as iconic as the Land Rover has been an integral part of its image for three quarters of a century.
