    4WD systems fuel tanks??

    HI all,

Has anyone had any experiences with "4WD systems" equipment? more specifically their 130ltr replacement fuel tank for a defender 110. THey only cost $689+$65freight so its a reasonaly cheap option, but wondering if there is a catch.

    cheers
    Jimmy

    Yep theres a catch...

Their tanks are notorious for cracking welds and leaking.

    D1, D2, Defender, Patrol, Cruiser...

Almost everyone who has fitted one has had problems.

    Cheers

Another problem with a large tank on the 110 fitted with rear stabaliser bars is that the thank wont fit. The bar crosses over between the chassis rail directly under the tank. Larger tanks extends down and fowls against the rail.

You can get extender "legs" for the rear stabiliser bar which positions it under the bigger tank. Mine are made from aluminium and are about 2" long.

I've got a LongRanger tank (120L) and it is very solidly made.
