maxi drive portals will "BOLT" onto any rover type axle, not just defenders.
eg def 90, disco 1 & 2, range rover classic and p38
you can also have them in rear steer.
they retain the stock rr disc brakes and because of there 4 gear design you don't have to change the rotation of the diff.
these are a "TRUE" bolt on option
very, very well designed..... many sets sold though out euorpe
