2 inch and 265's should give enough height for me.

sorry to bring up an old thread but the 265/75/r16 tyres will they fit with no rubbing on a D2 with stock suspension?
The front bar is no longer an issue.

I suspect you might get a bit of rubbing under the guard at full compression, but I could be wrong as I have always had the 40mm lift with my 265/75r16 muds, shouldn't be too bad though.

This one keeps coming up on a number of forums. I have 265x75r16's as my daily runners and 33" JT2's as my fun tyres. The 265's do not hit anywhere from my experience. The only issue relates to the steering stops. I have fitted washers under the stops to push them out a little (loses turn circle so keep it small). There is a missunderstanding about lift and suspension travel generally. Unless you extend your bump stops the tyre will still stuff up inside the guard the same regardless of any lift. The only difference is if you fit much stiffer springs and then it will only mean you have to hit that bump harder to get it up to the bump stop. Lift does not allow you to fit bigger tyres, suspension geometry does. Extend your shockers and bump stops will move the suspension relative to the chassis and improve clearance, or lift the body, but repositioning the ride height relative to standard bump stops does nothing.

They fit, Cal415's old 265/75R16 BFG muddies tried on for size, it feels like a monster truck and sounds like a jackhammer is following behind me (compared to the michellins but the fit with no rubbing issues

And God it looks the part

Looks good Dobbo! Did you massacre the bumper!

Stevo, 255/85's are a really good size, especially with 4.11's. How will you stop them rubbing?
    Cheers
