Just used my digital camera and then uploaded the file to google video, can use youtube too. very easy to do.

There is all new blisten shockers, including the damper. wheel alignment/balance was done a year ago, and all bolts are done up tight, mechanic checked them all.

It isn't a vibration, it's more the steering feels lose at high speed, i.e it sometimes difts to one side (either side) bit hard to explain.

Might need to think about it a bit more to explain it.

Will look into the back/forward movement.

    Matt.

Oh. I'd definately check the panhard bushes, the steering joints from the box and between the wheels, the damper and bushes, the steering box for play and that the bolts are tight. Probably also try to grab the top of the wheel and rock it to check the swivel and wheel bearings for play. High load at the rear can also do this. Probably also check your sway bar bushes while you're under there and the bushes in the lower link. I know this may also sound funny, but check all of the A-frame bolts are in and tight also.
    Cheers

i new when mine were stuffed when the radius arm did not return to the centre when i levered it side ways

probably a good idea to remove the bolts and have a good look

exchange is the best way unless you hhave a good press

The other thing that has made mine unstable laterally is Cooper ST's (255/85-16). They had to have at least 36psi or the side walls would wobble everywhere. Every other tyre I have been able to run lower in the pressures without drama.

Hi Matbor, i would do as Slunnie said and make sure the panhard bushes are as tight as you can get them. Not sure if you remember but i had this problem a while ago to the point it was so loose if you went over 40km/h and hit a bump the steering wheel would shake so bad it ripped the wheel out of your hands. All i did was tighten a bolt and it was fine. Before i tightened the bolt i did the swivel hub preloads and replaced the bearings in the right hand side Swivel hub as the top one had collapsed. Jack the car up and grap the top of the wheel and the bottom of the wheel if you it rocks at all then the wheel bearings are either loose or you need to check your swivel hub preloads.

Also have you added a suspension lift at all? If your castor angle can be slightly out. I did my lift ages ago and doing so put a small amount of play in the steering, replacing the castor bushes in the radius arm might help give the steering some more feel, just make sure you ask for the corrected ones. Exclamation

Going to replace all the bushes over Xmas break, but thought I would check them out as a matter of interest. All four radius arm bushes are similar. They look a bit cracked to me ?? What do u think ??

I have seen mine in my old rangie a lot worse ! you will always get a little bit of seperation on the edges of the rubber but as long as the steel tubes arent completely floating they will be ok.

    Ive seen worse...

Id replace them IF i was doing other suspension bushes and had the whole thing apart anyway... but at the stage that yours are at would not pull them for their sake alone.

so long as you cant move the arm forwards and backwards nor up/down (jam your screwdriver in the gap at the top and lever down (when viewed from the cameras perspective in your film) to aid this check lift the front of the vehcile and support it by the chassis on jack stands prior to doing the checks...

with the 12 inch screwdriver id go
1-3mm of flex up/down/forwards/back its all good,
3-7 yeah ok, could be worse, think I might get the parts book out and order some spares
7-10 nahh they'll make the next service.
10+ Hello, tyreshop? can I borrow your 2 post lift so I can drop my suspsension off, say yesterday.

the important thing is the arm returned to center. IF it didnt youd have problems.
