Just out of interest in an Auto what gear should the car be in to check the play? The mechanic I took it too checked it in Drive, and Park. I thought park would have locked it into position anyway.

    ac DRAIN POINTS

G/DAY ALL tHE DRAIN POINTS FOR YOUR A/C ARE LOCATED ABOVE THE GEARBOX ---THIS IS NOT GOOD--IT CAN CAUSE LOTS OF TROUBLE--JUST EXTEND THEM DOWN BELOW WITH SOME PLASTIC TUBE...

On one of the Disco IIs (the Td5 from memory) the condensation from the A/C drain drips straight onto the inhibitor switch which it tends not to like after a while.

Another reason to reroute it .

Well, I wouldn't have put it like that.

Experience is a valuable tool though.
I have come across similar situations in clubs where free advice isn't respected as much as the advice they have to pay for.
