    Side opening Engel lid.

    Good Day Ben,

Could you post some pics of how you did this conversion, as it would suit my set-up nicely.

    Thanks,

    Ken

Yeah, but you need to use a small dog.

My woof dog (that's what he is often called) is a tad too big - he's a Lab.

did you use the original hinges or something else.....?
i like this idea.....it allows the fridge to open fully without the lid hitting the roof....as mine does.....

just bought an engel slide lock, it allows fridge to be clipped in and out once the frame is bolted to the floor, should be fitting it next week, so not had chnace to road test it yet.

Mine's much the came setup as Cols110 but using the slide lock bolted to the seat frame... It's more humane..

    engel lcation for County

    Hi Rangieman
We are 8 weeks into a trip and I located my 39 litre engel behind the drivers seat, basically sitting on a piece of ply running lengthways on the passenger side seat. It works a treat as it stops the kids getting out the dangerous side and is quite acessable. You do have to tilt the driver seat to open it. Normally it sits on the floor, as mentioned in a previuos reply, but this does take up 2 passenger floor spaces.
    Cheers,
    David
