I have just put in Lucas brake pads and shoes in my car - does this mean I will not have any brakes when the headlights stop working

Think i've shared this story before - but had the Prince of Darkness curse my P76 Executive once.
Wife was driving across the story bridge with the three little ones in the car. Raining. Night time. Sure enough - middle of the bridge - no lights, no nothing - ah, the prince of darkness strikes again.

She didnt cry when we sold it - I almost did

The starter motor solenoid fell to bits on my P76 Executive at about 1 am on a Wednesday morning on the South Eastern Freeway (near Murray Bridge SA). All the electrics dissappeared and it was very dark (no moon). I scavenged the driving light wiring to give power to the fuse box and push started it.
