High but no Low Beam, Series 3

B4 I rip the dash out again, any help would b appreciated.Loose connection, broken relay or dash panel wire loose? I bought this 81 Ex army landy last oct for 600 bucks. I have put over $6000 into it ,I love it ,Im almost finished for now. Need to do brakes, has loose front halfshaft,How much backlash should she have? and thats about it. I have done heaps to it. Reco 202,wiper motor, Parabolics, gearbox,High ratio tranfercase, clutch, doortops, stereo, etc. Wheeew..HEAPS. Should I sell it now B4 it costs another 6000? Or enjoy ?

Anyway back to reality, low beams dont work now.only high beams.

3:1 its the switch on the stalk.

I'm shocked a SIII has highbeams!!!!!!

Todays standards for High beam's basically illuminate a person in dark clothes in the dark at 50m. See, I do listen at TAFE sometimes. But seriously, please wire in some relays, you'll burn out switches otherwise, and you'll get a much better light! Or better yet, just put some zenons in it...but there goes another 2000...okay, scratch that bit!

It's stupid how Land Rovers back then had no relays for the lighting circuits. No wonder the switches deteriorated like thay did.
