    Polyurethane Coil spacers

    Anyone use them if so how do you find them..I can get them for the Defender for $120 a Pair, is that too much? they are a 30mm lift but can get them any height required as they are made to order.

    i use them on the rear of my truck, they are great, i ended up with about 25mm of lift. i use them on the back of my truck only.

    I have a set of 30mm which I bought to reduce my spring sag. The only thing I would say (depending on why you are fitting them) is be careful of spring bind. $120 seems a little too much for 2...I bought mine for $150 for 4. Had them on for 2 weeks and then ended up changing the springs anyway to completely remove the sag.

    If you're interested, I could sell you 2 as I wont be fitting them again. PM me if you like for more info.

    They sound very expensive to me. I would ask a suspension shop like King springs, Dobinsons or Lovells how much they cost. The LandRover coils use the same spacers as the front of landcruisers I think it is.

    They're illegal onroad.

    They're ridiculously overpriced.

    And not that robust.

    How about Dawg, you go buy some alloy bar (4" or 100mm) cut it into neat wedges the height you want and slip them in place!

    Lot cheaper...

    However, 20+mm WILL result in spring bind, and on the front will break the lower shock mount offroad.
    Spring bind will quickly destroy your chassis, bend your diffs, trash your wheel bearings etc...

    BTW, for $125 I'd buy new coils

    I dont think they would last long, tombraider where do you get springs for $125/ pair ?

    I thought they were legal. They're a pretty standard fitment, especially in the smaller sizes.

    I wouldn't fit them to the fronts at all due to bind and the vibration isolators. The back springs will be fine, I've run these at 20mm without any problems.

    LoanRangie, probably Browns in Victoria. Apparently they also supply Rangie Spares.

    never had a rear bind with them in place thus far, they actually quieten the back of the truck down a little bit...

    i fitted them so the truck stayed closer to level with the engel in the back and the trailer on the back.... works beautifully...

    no sign of wear, cracking or crumbling on mine as yet.

    Mine are showing no signs of wear. I had them made up so I could use RR/Disco coils in the rear of my 110 which is very light. Coil bind will depend on the wire diameter and number of coils. And I can see why they would insulate road noise to an extent - Nissan Patrols actually use a rubber seat at the top of the spring for this purpose.
