if he doesnt have one......find a mechanic that does.......its the fastest and cheapest way to find out......
the trailing arm i have done nothing with......
the tailshaft i sent back to LVS so they could see it.....it has a strange and unusual part number......
i am waiting to hear from them some time next week.....
they have been most helpful so far......but i dont like my chances of them having it in stock.....
:D :D :D lol......this time I beat YOU to it.....that's what I suggested back in post#8:) :)Quote:

i suspected water in the airflow meter connection was causing it to overfuel.....
which was fouling up the plugs before it had a chance to fire.......
i stopped the fuel from going to the engine till it cleared itself.....then it fired up
as soon as i let the fuel back in.....and we didnt switch it off again.....!!
by all means, chat away :D .
thanks for the commments. have ruled out air intake leak. i have difficulty in starting the truck although it turns over freely, it doesn't fire up.
the garage is checking compression although i don't know why?
anybody else have any experiences with the lucas distributor going wrong?? and if so in what way??
thanks.
