mmmmmmm.....interesting....I actually unplugged that connector about 10 o'clock....sprayed it with electrical contacts cleaner then silicon spray but still no joy.....oh well main thing is that it got going.....and he WAS able to keep up with me.....110 min 135 max on the freeway:)Quote:

it was definitely flooded.......but i had no way of smelling it.....
remember how i was feeling....?
the girls it behind told me that it stunk and was running too rich......i stuck my nose in the exhaust and still couldnt smell it.....
i still havent got my full sense of smell back......i dont know what sort of cold i had......but its still lingering slightly......
only in the last 3 or 4 days have i been able to smell anything.....but i would say only about 15-20% of what it should be.....

its not uncommon for fuel pumps to go south......or the fuel pressure regulator to play up......
it could even be the coolant sensor......
what type of air metering system is on yours....?
is it the flapper type or the hotwire type(air mass meter).......
or even the fuel temp sensor.....or a blocked fuel filter.....the list goes on....fuel pressure regulator....air temp sensor.....cold start timer stuck on......constantly leaking cold start injector.....over-run fuel shut-off valve.....faulty/dirty throttle potentiometer.....checked THOSE???? common-ish problem points on a Lucas L-Type Injection ?Quote:

have you checked to make sure there is oil in the dampeners on the carbies....?
carbs are fine as are piston dampers, and their condition has no bearing on the running on LPG. (sorry, when i refer to gas i mean LPG not petrol).Quote:
