If it's any help... The ones in the G4 vehicles are mounted in the top glove box. The handset clip is on the centre console, to the left of the radio. They also use an external speaker which is mounted on the little shelf above the glove box.

    The installation looks really neat.

Tell me - is the Sat Nav hole 2 DIN high? Just wondering... if so, I might be able to get a 1 DIN Sat Nav with pop-up screens to fit in there - as well as the 1 DIN UHF CB.

    Cheers,

Can that screen play Saturday morning cartoons or can the car be programmed to say "what is thy bidding my master"
That dash looks so trick you'd need a pilots license not a drivers one..and I thought I was flash removing my clock and inserting a voltmeter..

Well Dawg, now you mention it. The 05/06 D3's have the provision for TV, but just need an attachement and the software loaded. The 07MY will have TV available.

There are inputs to the screen that can have cables soldered to in order to hook a DVD/whatever up to the satnav screen. Instructions are available on the net.

After I've fitted the cargo barrier that arrived yesterday and then fitted the SC80 to replace my existing dual battery controller; I intend looking at hooking up to the satnav inputs, 'cause I want to fit front and rear cameras!

A D3 came into work today with a GME 3400 with the remote head mounted in the pen holder? to the left of the park brake. Exactly the right size.
Looked good and out of the way.

I thinik theres a few blokes with them in the pen holder thingy.

I've got my Satphone cradle there so it wasn't an option.

The only problem with having it ontop of the steering column like I've done is you have to be careful not to operate the controls by putting your arm though the steering wheel! It sort of causes problems when you want to turn (and hurts a bit)
