    Richard, your average car radio is 'DIN standard' size i.e., a front panel of 52mm x 179mm wide.

    Richard - fantastic photos mate - thanks for taking the time and effort to take so many!

    I am now sold on the TX3400 and am inclined to put the head unit in the pen holder space and the main chassis where you gents installed them.

    One last question - with the speaker being in the main chassis... can you hear speech very well with the sound coming from down near your shins?
