Anyone run rock crawler gear sets in a D2 TD5 and if so how do they perform? Considering Maxi's 30% low range reduction down the track as I am starting to do a bit more slow technical driving.
Currently run 32" tyres with 4.11 CWP in my manual '99 D2 TD5 but sometimes find that an extra gear between 1st & 2nd would be good and in some cases safer. Like the fact high range remains the same but the low range gets more crawlability which would be excellent for my manual.
Interested to hear peoples thoughts.
