    unsure about the fuel adjustment

    hi guys

    just a quick one

    thinking about tweeking the fuel pump and i know this comes up alot but the thing we want to know and can't seem to find out is;

    the fuel adjustment screw on the back of the fuel injector pump...has what appears to be a lock ring, and does anyone know how this comes off, and whether i needs to go back on as it appears to be spot welded, is there a lock nut under there???

    All the tweaking is under the top of the injector pump. The stuff at the back is fuel shut off and a port for checking tolerances. There are various web pages on what to do, I just can't find one yet.

    you tweaking it yourself or are you paying to get it done...

    Depending on the series of your pump its there for one of 2 reasons. (pics would help)

    1. Its a bleeder for when you have to do a reprime or have it on a test bed.

    2. Its hiding an adjustment nut/screw...

    If your doing it yourself. Ultra cleanlieness is the word of the day... as a minimum lay down fresh alfoil on a clean work bench. Preferably a Large flat piece of clean steel.

    there are tolerences in some fuel pumps that make the term "bees dick" translate to "grand canyon"

    Best of luck to ya...
