    Yes absolutely, there is enough power (amps) and the cable size is more than enough to take the 3 amps (or max 5 amps) for a uhf radio

    Even if there was power up there you still have to run the antenna cable.

    I was going to mount mine up there too but the Disco I bought already had a GME TX3200 mounted next to the driver's left leg on the transmission tunnel.
