daft as it may sound ... how many of the ULP victims... were brits?

the reason i ask is that in the UK diesel pumps nearly always have black fillers, and ULP have Green....

im wondering if like i nearly have... if these people have seen the green pump and picked up the 'other' pump... without realising... fortunately i have come to realise that if i can only just hold on to the filler nozzle handle due to the amount of diesel round it i have the right one... ULP handles are far too clean and dry

    Thanks

Many years ago a bloke working for the same company as me was filling a 44 in the back of a Holden ute from the company bowser - it was after dark, he had latched the bowser trigger and was busy gossipping. The sound of the petrol running over the top of the ute tailgate alerted him to a problem..........

    An update on the pump,

According to the repairer, there are a few 'blue bits' inside from lack of lube! nothing horrendous though, and the owner should be back on the road for about $1500 all up, including filter, labour to remove and refit/time pump, flush and clean tank / lines/ sedimenter etc.
Could've been a bit worse if the main shaft had been damaged, or the housing needed replacing, He was pretty fortunate.
