Hub lock? Not familiar with the term. Do you mean Free wheel hub?
But in any case you can expect to find oil in the wheel bearings. Although they are initially grease packed on assembly, there is no seal between the swivel housing and the hub (or between the swivel housing and the diff) so oil will make its way to the wheel bearings (IF THERE IS ANY IN THE SWIVEL!), particularly on the left side, due to road camber. This is the main reason why wheel bearing problems are very rare on Series Landrovers.
