what model car is it![]()
Hey all,
Had a FANTASTIC trip today through some very rough stuff, mud, water, rocks, deep ruts with a couple of mates... considering im green at this I only got stuck once, and thats with HT tyresI will post some pics when I get them off my mate.
I however noticed the oil light flashing on the dash when I have it in drive (auto) and moving, doesnt flash when stand still. I checked both the engine oil and the auto box oil as per manual, and as far as I can see, both arent below the Low mark. So what could it be? Wasnt doing this before the trip, could I have knocked something, like a sensor or wiring?
what model car is it![]()
Howdy,
Which track?
We were meant to go on a club trip today, but the RR is having a MIG appointment today instead...Hope you didn't scratch it TOO much...
Anyway, flashing oil light? Possibly only water etc in the plug or actually in the switch, which is just above the oil filter.
Pics ASAP please!
Justin
Its a Disco Tdi 1999....
As for the track, Jefreys Track Justin... IT was trully awesome. Not too cut up, but def challenging. I still have a grin from ear to ear mate![]()
I will check the plug etc now to make sure. Water level was to just above base of doors, so not too high.
Edit: Just got back from spraying the plug and cleaning it with WD40, and walla, all fixed! Thanks JC, your a champ![]()

And you didn't invite me???
Just kidding, the RAngie will be ready in a few weeks, I'll give you a call....
they're pretty capable vehicles, even in standard trim aren't they?
Were there any scratches yet? I know the first one will hurt you more than the car, especially one in that good condition. But, thats what they are for, these landies...
Enjoy, and give me a call if the light issue is worrying you.
JC
Well, I figured you were still incapacitated, which sounds like you are. For sure give me a call J, were looking at going at it again soon. As for scratches, I still cant see any real hard ones, just slight 'bruising' rather than cutting. I gotta say, I am super impressed with it, and the other guys were also impressed. Maybe im just a natural (just kidding)![]()
Shall talk to ya soon.

The others had a Toymoto Hilux 3Diesel and a brand spanking new Mitsu****ty ute, with LSD rear diff and 4wd capabilty... forgot the model, but its a 4 door utility like the Hilux. Actually, pretty good vehicle seeing as it really wasnt designed for that kinda work! Both are top blokes, so it was a great day all up. The Misu****ty driver has the pictures![]()
We sometimes take a video camera mounted on the front or rear windows by one of those suction cup brackets you can get from stallards. It is a good thing to watch your vehicle on tape after the day's trip, and can be quite entertaining.....!
time to start the pic collection then eh?
jc
Maybe you should rename this thread to Stooge & justinc build there post count up![]()
