    2 door body on a 4 door/disco chassis?

I've got a GREAT 2 door (bodywise), but would prefer if it was a better daily driver- ie overdrive (either 5spd manual or 4sp auto), possibly ABS for the missus.. actually most of the mod cons of my 1990 4 door.

If i was to get another more modern chassis/driveline (ie a rolled soft dash rangie or disco 1), apart from the electrical connections etc, should the 2 door body just bolt on to the newer chassis?

I think it is a pretty straigh forward swap. The competiton AMV rangie that won the OBC and Malaysian Rainforrest Challenge a few years ago is series 1 disco chassis with a two rangie body - all heavily modded of course.

Steve, Glen or Peter at AMV could shed some light on it for you: www.amv.com.au

    body swap

I am pretty sure that disco to disco swap should be ok. Being both series 1,s of course. I cant imagine the factory would have changed position of the body mounts, as basically they just added a couple of doors.
