    Oh wow, theres a lot of weight in there. The rear end of the Disco1 flexs a lot better than a Disco2, but the front does not. In the end the Disco1 probably has more flex than the Disco2. With those loads its probably worth trying your Disco2 springs before buying as they may not be too bad. You may still want softer later. Unloaded I get an RTI of 841@20 degrees, so I would assume you would get more in the Disco1 - then you air down for more again.

    You didn't say if you have the stock disco I swaybars still.

    These naturally reduce flex, but the way the stock rear is arranged (apposing the trailing arms) it dramatically limits the articulation.

    Mine can not fully extend the stock length shockies. As the axle droops, the sway bar pulls it up towards the rear, fighting the trailing arms which pull up toward the front.

    I need to make new links, or pack the sway bar down at the chassis.

    I do not have any sway bars,,, I made disconects for the old defender, but someone has removed front & rear sway bars on this disco before I got it.
    Either that or they were never fitted.

    I don't know much about the serries 1 disco YET.
    Hence all the questions on here,,,, bit like I did with all the other landy's,,, ask a heap of questions on here & because you are not actually talking face to face with someone you don't mind asking the stupid questions.
    Then after a lengthy discussion on here I take all that knowledge & make an informed desition,, & it almost sounds like I know what I am talking about by this point in time.
    Owning a Land Rover isn't a hit & miss thing anymore thanks to the internet,, information from all over the world is now available at our finger tips. Got to luv technology,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,sometimes.

    Looks like that I will have to change over my D1 springs to the D2 setup
    as the new r h front spring in my D1 (50mm lift) has sagged owing to the weight of the td5 ( spacer now fitted ).
