I had no instructions as my tank was second hand.

I drilled through the chassis and bolted the tank to the chassis (bolted right through the chassis).

I plumbed mine in so that an electric pump transferred petrol from the sill tank to the main tank. I connected the overflow from the main tank back to the sill tank so that it didn't matter if I left the pump running, I couldn't overfill the main. As my car was EFI, it was really the only way to go, I couldn't use the tank to supply the engine directly as it could have on a carby engine.

I can't remember the exact details as it was about 8 years ago and I sold that car 4-1/2 years ago.

Make sure your transfer pump switch is illuminated when switched on and in sight so you can see it is on.

They are the same as i fitted to my rangie and wont require modifying anything just a few holes drilled as mentioned earlier.

Talk about queer timings.....the instructions arrived today! No diagrams though or schematics.....going to have to have another whinge at them.

Here's what they sent me.

SILL TANKS
INSTRUCTIONS
These sill tanks fit underneath the left and right hand sills of the vehicle. They have their
own filler neck built in as an integral part of the tank and can be filled from both the left
and right hand rear wheel arches respectively. The system operates via a fuel transfer
System where by the fuel is pumped from either tank back to the main tank via an
electric fuel transfer pump. By turning on the fuel transfer pump you are
able to pump from the right hand tank into the main tank. By turning on the second switch
this allows the pump to transfer fuel from the left hand sill tank into the main tank.

1. Carry out electrical wiring as per wiring diagram. Running sheathed cable to the rear
of the vehicle.

2. Check the under side of the floor pan above the sill tank location for any screws or
bolts that protrude through and would foul or rub on the top of the tank. Bend the vertical
metal flange flat out of the way. Be careful with the pipes in this area.

3. Remove the lower gearbox cross member bolt and fit front inner tank mounting
bracket. Measure 480mm to the rear from this bolt and drill hole at the same height as
the gearbox cross member bolt. Fit the rear inner tank mounting bracket.

4. 8mm hose barb elbow into fuel pick up and plug into fitting next to fuel pick up.

5. Lift tank into position. Secure tank to front and rear inner brackets. Leaving a minimum of 5mm clearance at the front of the tank to the sill edge of the body. Level tank left to right and secure front and rear of tank to chassis out riggers with 50 x 50mm angle brackets.

6. Fit the fuel transfer pump into place and complete wiring and connection
of all hoses and fittings. Mount filler necks using M6 bolts and nuts provided then
connect fast fill hoses.

7. Fill tanks with fuel and check operation of switch. Check operation of the fuel transfer pump from both the left and right hand tanks.

Does the jury think they make sense? There's a reference to that lip that needs bending over too!
