There is a beautiful 2006 110 in Cairns blue (metallic paint) with a white roof available now. I've ordered a 2007 model though so am in for a wait.

Might be worth looking into diff guards if you can get them cheap enough. Save you denting that nice new paint work on them.

    Defender purchase

Welcome soon to the Defender club. As pointed out aftermarket accessories are there for the taking if the price is right. Some things that I would highly recommend is a rear roller drawer, and cargo barrier. I have the Cairns blue with white roof. The white roof helps keep the car cooler in the sun, but the metallic paint does scratch easily. Oh well the price of vanity.
Enjoy your new car when you get it.

It's a metal housing that bolts over the diffs. Helps protect it when you hit rocks. Your best bet would be to visit a 4wd accessorie store and look at all the expensive toys. Prices will scare you. The good thing with visiting the stores is you can see the various things and start to get an idea of what you need and want. You will also need the basic recovery gear and a UHF radio. Get 2 rated shackles and a snatch strap. The rest comes down to your preference and needs.
