Heaps as i have been told the simex tyres are more than the quoted size
so you will be putting 34,s on not 33,s
with the disco and i stand corrected you will have to cut gaurds and or a body lift or suspension lift
good luck![]()

2" lift on the surpension and then try them on for size and see what body work you will have to take off. Not alot with the 33"
Only ever put on 35's on to disco 1 so don't know if you will have to take off any body work off when you put a set of 33"

Preferable to use offset rim. 2" lift and a heap of guard cutting would probably work. As mentioned though, a 33" Simex is probably going to be a bit bigger.
I just fitted 33's to my D1, and you will definatly have to cut the guards....especially the rear of the rear arches.
I cut just the front and rear of each arch to enlarge the opening. The height of the standard opening should be fine.
What rims are you running ?Originally Posted by Caveman

& are you running a body lift ??
I have 16" Steel Disco rims that have been cut and flipped for max offset.
I have a 2" spring lift, but it's about 10years old, so probably about the same as the original spring height now.
I don't have any body lift installed.
While my wheels and tyres now fit, I wouldn't be able to take it offroad this way, it still needs more clearance.....mostly due to the offset though.
As Rangieman said simex 33's are more like 34's.

Tyre sizes listed on LRAutomotive website. 857mm rolling diameter equal to just under 34 inches.
You will have to cut your gaurds out and fit some kind of flare to cover the tyre after you fit the offset rims (which will make the tyre stick out further). You might even have to fit a body lift to clear any scrubbing on the inside of the wheel arches on full articulation. But I'm not sure on this point.
I'm pretty sure LRH is running 33" (34") JT2's on his Rangie. PM him for more details perhaps.

1" body lift is advisable. This can be done without needing to bugger around with longer brake lines, steering componentry etc. Pretty straight forward.
Offset rims will still allow full steering lock but as mentioned, cut guards & flares will be needed.
Mate they are 34" x 11.5s!!! So about 35"!!!Originally Posted by D110V8D
Yup - had to cut the guards, LRA Flares - have a 1" body and now 3" spring lift.
First time out I smashed the drivers side flares - this is with the 2" spring lift!!!
The car has now even more flex, so have extended bump stops to limit up travel - should sort that little problem out.
But go for it, they are GREAT tyres
