www.fwd.com.au are in SA and are mail order landy specialists.
There is also British off road at the Sunshine Coast Qld who do mail order.
Im sure there would be a Melbourne shop somewhere but one of the locals will no doubt answer before to long.
Where to buy series parts in Melbourne?
Or is it worthwhile buying from the UK and getting them shipped out?
I need perishable parts, like rubbers, brakes, clutch, hoses, a LH door top frame gear lever UJ's etc etc

For anything series related I would go to Fred Smith in Bayswater. It's not just the parts you're buying, it's the advice and years of knowledge as well. And you can be sure you're getting genuine stuff too, not indian "no name" junk.

They are in QLD but they are wholesalers who supply most LR parts places in OZ. Fortunately they also sell retail.
They also carry some 2nd hand series parts. I bought my ute cab from them for a pretty good price.
FWD is in Victoria, its where I get all my parts from, PM me your address Roly and I'll send you their catalogOriginally Posted by Mick-Kelly

The two places I would get them from in Melbourne are Four Wheel Drives in Middleborough Road Box Hill for cheap (and sometimes nasty) parts and Fred Smith in Havelock St Wantirna for quality parts and advice (and work).Originally Posted by JRoly
It is unlikely to be worthwhile getting parts in from the UK unless they are not available in Australia.
There are also a number of interstate places that do mail order, but it is unlikely that you will do better than the ones mentioned above, although rarely there will be bits you can't get locally but can interstate.

I get a bit of stuff from four wheel drives (www.landrovers.com.au). If you go to their website you can get a sample of their catalouge, which happens to be the series parts section
