I'd go for a good quality OAT - supercrap sell a pre-mix (50/50) red - makes the job easy.

    Hi,

Interesting all of the above is correct,
I spoke to Nulon, Landrover and Castrol and they all said OAT is the go.

    Two things though:

They did go on to say the main thing is don't mix the different types of coolant and do a good flush if changing.

Also the only main difference is the red coolant OAT has a lot longer life expectancy. They all said the green would be ok as far as an antifreeze antiboil corrosion protector but the red OAT is new technology and has the longer life span.

The local mechanic flushed mine and put a green in mine 12 months ago. For the sake of $50 I am going to drain it today flush it and replace it with OAT compatible to be on the safe side any way.

    Cheers

Has anybody used the Redline water wetter for an extended period of time. My land mechanic recommended it but not being an expert i can only go on his word that it protects the same if not better than the recommended OAT.
