for the air bags to go down the air must pass through two valves the two that are at the front of the compressor housing has three tubes going to it these control the left and right air bags there is another air soleniod inside the compressor assembly that must open in conjunction with one or both of the other soleniods before the air can escape.

usually when there is a leak on one side the ECU will dump air out of the other side as well to keep the car level, check for a loose fitting at the soleniod valve or on top of the air bag do to over tighten as they are plastic threads, you may have a crook air bag they will split around the bottom.

to check this jack the car up so the diff is hanging down undo the two tubes that go into the soleniod valve leave the middle one alone this will allow the air to drain out of the bags then you can check the bottom where it is clamped to the base,I had one that had split a third of the way around still held air unless you went over a big bump this would open the split and dump the air not bad after 5 years of abuse
