That bow was spot welded with 3 spots to another arm. All 3 sports are broken.
Is there a way to get the whole window mechanic out of the door ??
Matt
And I just thought everything is working![]()
Had a window open today and wanted to close it. Wasn't a good idea.
I had a look behind the cover and some bits of a round plastic cover was in the bottom of the door and a big metal bow with teeth like half a gear wheel was laying in there.
Thank god its no problem to see anything inside that door.![]()
Has anyone a sketch of that mechanism ?
I've stuck a big screwdriver in the door to hold the window up.

What vehicle is it ?
Sounds like a Series II Disco.Originally Posted by Roadrunner
The good news is that if you remove the regulator from the door & line the gear back up again, you can re-weld it back on. Drill out the old spot welds & plug weld the gear back on.

Where is my sig gone ??

Edit: I thought about drilling the old welds out and just weld it up again but I have to get it out of the door. I un did the 4 screws that hold the motor and that is lose but all those metal arms and slides are connected to it and won't come loose.

I've seen that before.
The part I've got in my hands is the thing on page 2 where the arrow points to.
It's a front door that has the problems so.
On page 3 I did everything up to 6.
The motor is lose and in the bottom of the door but all the lifting mechanics is attached to it so it won't come out.
Will have another look tonight.

Sorry - front door - I'll did out the bit for that.Originally Posted by Roadrunner

Thanks
I got the thing out of the door and welded it all together again (this Disco really starts to justify buying the welder)
One of those plastic round sliders is broken as well. They sit at the end of those arms and slide horizontal. The mechanic was bent at the end and the plastic nob broke. They don't look like you can replace them![]()
Might have to try to build one with my swiss army knife and put a screw through to secure it![]()
