Go and get the radiators core replaced at a radiator place
The Range Rover one's are different but you may be able to make them fit
Adam
Hi
Just wondering if anybody knows whether the radiator in the 1981 Stage 1 is the same as used in the Range Rover from the same period??? They look similar I think but I haven't got one to compare.
The stage 1 Rad is proving troublesome. As fast as I solder a leak it developes another somewhere else. Very tired I think, the isuzu has probably work hardened all the copper and now it has a weep on the core so getting more difficult. It's taking me to Tassie on Sunday week so might have to be some Radiator stop leak for the moment.
Anyway.
Cheers
Adrian

I understand that they are dimensionally slightly different. I ended up getting a County radiator instead.

Thanks for the replies. I'll stop eyeing off wrecked range rovers as potential donors!
Have ordered a new rad. $475 seemed reasonable.

G'day Aryoch![]()
Just make sure that the price that they Quoted is for the Stage1/110 Diesel Radiator and not for the 4cylinder Series111![]()
cheers
Apparently it's the same radiator as in the V8 county that suits the isuzu stage 1 according to the bloke I spoke to, and that's what he said he was ordering so that's what I'm expecting for the money. Otherwise it isn't much good to me.
Supposed to be here tomorrow so will see then. As for the finances of it, after reading the radiator re-core thread in November it did seem reasonable for a new one considering some of the costs of recoring etc mentioned on that thread for the radiators from discoveries etc. I've silver soldered it 4 times now, every time I stick it back in, it leaks somewhere else once the pressure has built up a couple of times. I think the whole thing is just tired.
cheers

I have one of each and when I compared them they were so close, it wast funny.
The Stages 1 are a tight fit, so the range radiator may be made to fit but will possibly involve cutting some of the inner guard.
Either way - get one that you know is good, don't chance on a crap one.
Once they are recored, they will last ages.
