    overhead console

    Dawg

We went thru the expense of the o/h console for a couple of reasons
the higher the unit the less crud accumulates on the radio and to get the phone mike to the middle of the landie to lower wind noise from the window.
installed a gme 4400 because of the inbuilt speaker. The radio is wired directly to the aux battery and fused, the aerial wire comes down the window cover and out thru the firewall, I put a join in this wire because the wire comes thru the centre of the aerial at the bullbar mount and should you need to replace it it makes it easier. We had to have the visors cut down (by outback an additional $60 inc return post) not too bad a job but not as neat as I would of liked, we contacted them and was told it was a difficult job and that it was as neat as they could get them!
    hope this helps

Mines mounted on front of cubby box with power brought up through floor under box (grommett already there).
Look in GPS section, look under PDA mount and you will see photo there.
