    more ground clearance

I would like to give my d2 some extra height and i am not sure what needs to be done as i have rear air bags which are the genuine land rover type. Can i place longer springs in the front and let the self leveling sort it the rear end out or do i need to go with coils all round.

I think the only way to get more ground clearance is larger tyres. if you raise the body the diffs still remain the same height with no change in tyre size.

You can fit longer front springs & simply fit spacers under the rear air springs (and lengthen the height sensor links).
That's the most common way of actually lifting a D2. There's quite a few on here who have done it that way.

Yes I lifted mine the way Scouse has described. A company in Melbourne, 4x4 Design and Engineering make a kit for the rear end. It consists of the blocks you place under the rear bags and extensions for the sensors, bump stops etc.

How does the 2" lift with the SLS ride and Handle?

    Hi Jess,
How does the 50mm lift with the SLS ride and Handle? Also what sort of cost is it for the kit and do you need to upgrade from the Landrover shocks for the lift kit. Who's springs did you use to lift the front?

    Thanks for the info...BradM
