    TD5 Intercooler pipe question

    Hi all,
For all those with Disco TD5's, a question re the intecooler hoses.
From the outlet of the turbo, you have a short rubber pipe, which feeds into a 40cm or so metal pipe, then feeds into another rubber hose before going into the intercooler.
My question is regarding the 40cm metal pipe that both rubber hoses connect to.
It would appear that part of the pipe has been pressed, ie a depression in part of the pipe by the factory and not by damage. This would introduce surely a airspeed reduction and therefore affect lag and other things.
Do all TD5's have this metal pipe with this depression?
    Cheers
    Chris

All the pipes that I've seen go through my warranty room are the same.

    I hope you used Stainless!

The benefits of this are negligible, its a closed area running forced induction...

No major difference will be felt, the transition into the IC will produce more turbulence
