					Hi had this problem on my rangie alternator light came on but mine just had a rough idle at start (fuel injected) the first time had a dodgy wire to battery second time light came on alternator was dying and a ran like a pig. Eventually replaced alternator and all good.

					I had a feeling this might be the case... I was thinking when I replace it to go to a bigger amp alternator..

					See the thread of a couple of days ago re fitting a Magna 85 amp.
Is Your D1 early with V belts?
You can geta new diode pack and brush holder for the MM from Paddock in Uk , but if I recall it was about $180.
I think its harder with multi rib,but then I don't really know!

					Yeh i just got the standard 65amp one back in for my model and has been fine a new nippon denso one it cost $220 from Rovercraft in WA. I wish  i got 85amp as well with cb spotties and all that but in saying that i have had no probs for year a have had it in.
