I've been told that long range fueltanks can be troublesome on td5's I'm not sure I'm game at this point. I'll wait and see how much fuel I have to carry before I commit on this one.

    Nice Fender!

    Nothing beats a white Defender.....

What problems have there been with LR tanks on TD5s? The only thing I do not like about mine is that is reduces my departure angle too much

The TD5 fuel pump can be problematic, but not sure that this is necssarily related to the Long range tank. Although they are expensive, I would consider looking into getting one as a spare. Having said that mine is still going strong after 130,000km, although it wails its head off

I would serious consider a longrange tank, aspecially if you intend doing the CSR.

Dreaming about this area. In our plans to go there sometime.

    Corrrrrrugation and dust...

Rustproofing is good, what about dustproofing? 1-2 cans of silicone and 1 hour job worth to spent to do it. It will reduce dust "income" up to 90% believe me

I can take pics where i've siliconed mine.

    Cheers,
    Ruslan
