    : there are good second hand batteries (deep cycle) from phone company tower 30-60 dollars

    The Waeco fridges have an adjustment for the voltage at which it disconnects itself from the battery. The highest level is designed for when you have only a single battery, so it will leave enough power in the batttery to start the vehicle.
    If you are running off an dedicated second battery ( either portable or fixed ) you can set the level to medium or low voltage and it will last longer time before it disconnects.
    This is on my slightly older SC40 they may have changed it in the current models.
