I was looking at Ebay tonight and someone is selling Td5 ECUs. Apparently they were ordered but not used, for 98-2000 xa-ya Td5's. This model designation is news to me. My Td5 is a 2000 MY. I wasn't aware of model designations like xa and ya. What are these models and how do you tell what your own vehicle is in these terms?

Correct: prefix to the chassis No part of the Vin.

My 2000 D2 TD5 chassis serial No starts YA.......
and my mates 1999 D2 TD5 starts XA........

These are the last 8 Characters/Digits in the VIN that starts SALL......
