300TDI filter
Morning Ladies and Gents,
First up the Def (80's) with the Isuzu motor had a small filter before the lift pump, you know undo the bolt pull it out give her a clean.
Had alook around my 300TDI is there one, had a look around, without pulling everything apart, under the bonnet?????
She seams abit under the weather and I've been filling out of jerrys, sed/fuel filter perfect and clean (new fuel filter and sed clean as).
Just a question.
Thanks for reading, have a good day.

There is a gauze filter on the top of the lift pump on the 300tdi, just under and in front of the air filter barrel. You can get to it with a big flat blade screwdriver without moving anything else.
In my Defender this filter is the first filter after the gauze in the filler hose, so anything that is too small and light to get caught by the sedimenter stops here, followed by the usual loss of power and panic.
You can add a filter cartridge to the sedimenter. I haven't yet got around to it because I have to reposition the sedimenter to account for the added length. The good thing about that is that it then becomes your main fuel filter at $5 a pop.
Cheers
Simon
